Well, I was on the apple website today, and although my fingers crave the touch of the amazing MacBook Pro, I looked at the other macs that are offered, and stumbled upon the Mac Pro. After seeing that the basic model of the machine costs 2,499, I quickly discounted any possiblity of me getting one in my human lifetime. Then as any tech geek liek myself does, i looked at the best possibe sstuf that you could get with the Mac Pro.
The first thing i was was 8 cores WTF why would anyone want or need 8 cores of processing!!! And 16 gigs of ram!!!!! WOW. I know that this would probably cost liek 16 mollion dollars, but still, arent these getting into super computer?!? This computer is to computing what Anna Nicole Smith is to O.D.ing on pills (yeah i took the SATs).

You are right, four cores are plenty. I got one for school and it is well worth it. Extra RAM has to be purchased somewhere other than Apple though, unless you want to spend an extra few thousand dollars.
